Wow what a fabulous Chinese New Year you have planned! Chopsticks and rice crackers... I had a quick search on pinterest and there were lots of fun ideas like a chinese themed sensory tray, chopsticks practice with pom poms, art projects with chopsticks etc. Worth a look!

Looking forward to Chinese New Year in our Home, Abundant Grace, in Sussex, U.K.
Last year we made a dragon using a fisherman's 'keep' - a 2 m long net tube - decorated with coloured foil strips; residents also helped make a paper mache dragon head!
We made a bit of noise (with biscuit tin lids) as we danced it around the Home, dispensing fortune cookies from its mouth. This year we will also make the horoscopes an activity, colouring a rooster and, of course, the kitchen will be serving a Chinese meal.
I am planning an activity involving chopsticks and rice crackers, any suggestions?
