Some time ago you had an activity with doilies I think to do with mothers' day. The doilies were made of paper and do you think I could find them anywhere? No! Well I was shopping one day just browsing and I found a heap of them in one of the cheap shops. Now I have all these doilies and would like to make something with them. I have other ideas of yours but would really like the one I can't find which from memory had something to do with flowers in them.

A BIG THANKYOU for this brilliant site. Cheers from Lyn D.

Hi Lyn,

Thanks for the lovely feedback! Doilies can be hard to find, we've had trouble before too!

Could it have been one of these activities you were looking for:

Lyn, you can make lovely dresses for Xmas Angels with the paper doilies. Use either a styrofoam cone or a cone shape made of card for the body & a styrofoam ball for the head. Cover with the doilie for the dress & also the sleeves. They look very sweet & are quite easy to make!

HI Lyn paper doilies are fun.1 use a large rectangular one to frame a picture or painting by a resident. 2. make a lovely greeting card by putting a round doily on the front. Use flower shapes beads buttons and ribbon making a collage. Put on a sticker on the front that says happy birthday etc. and the message inside. Make 6 cards and put in a packet to sell for fund raising.
