Hi Everyone loving this site and just renewed membership. I have been in the job just over 12months now and my boss is putting pressure on me to change the monthly planner but wont advise me on which programs to implement, so asking for ideas on what others planners look like and programs on them. Thankyou in advance. Any help welcome at all
Quiots, sing a longs, high teas, poetry read (very Popular), gardening (potting cuttings etc), cooking (pikelets on BBQ or fry pan), word games, celebrity head (for low care), hoy, foot spa's, hand and nail pampers, balloon therapy (balloon available through Wisdom Activities, Western Aust) they blow up to the size of medium round table and are easy for every resident to tap and is lots of fun.

Thankyou both we already do most of those activities, although l have added a few extra ones to the next months planner. Think it was a bad month and l seemed to be the target to take it out on.
Hi colleagues I do a Tombola FUN raiser. Cap in hand for donations. Make bunting. Table set up with laminated numbers. Ressies get 2 numbers. Plus lucky door prize. While waiting for everyone to turn up, do a fun quiz. ( no singing out,, put up your hand..otherwise the same ppl answer questions) mens and ladies prizes. Hankies, plants, chocs, chips, flowers etc. was a great morning. Will gather gifts for another in December. If rellies come, a gold coin donation. Residents had a ball. Im also laying foundation for Teddy Bears picnic. Get as many bears as possible. Baby clothes from Op. craft day, dress up bears ready for picnic. Morning tea outside. Quiz, songs. Perhaps type out lyrics for Elvis Presley Teddy Bear. And others with my music sessions, the residents like songs typed out. Not for all, for some we just use memory. Cheers.
We have been a member of Golden Carers for the past 5 years and honestly, it makes our lives here both easier and more interesting!!! The hours it saves us when planning activities for our residents result in delivering quality activities. Our residents love the word searches and crosswords and the armchair travels have brought happy memories of holidays. Thank you for all you do!
