You can get small bubble wands from Reject shop that have bubbles that don't burst so the residents can hold them in their hand.

These are quite large and can be purchased from ebay, come from China

Thank you all for enjoying this resource, can be used over and over again and hopefully has inspired you to try some of your own.

I can now cheat on the beach theme and use the Kinetic sand, the looks on the residents faces is priceless...there is a cheaper version at KMart - $5 which is similar. KMart also have kinetic sand in a beige colour...a comment made that it looks and feels like brown sugar...leads into more reminiscing.

I like using visual aids with my reminiscing...for example I took a toolbox in with old tools that had the men reminiscing and to offside that for the ladies I had an old beauty case and filled it with curlers, perfume, jewellery etc. I also got from my mother who was a teacher her training sewing sampler and that brought out many responses from residents, staff and visitors. Currently I am working on another toolbox which I am filling with mens items eg. bowtie, cravat, cufflinks, watch, pipe etc. The visual aids help those that can't hear join in with the activity and creates many fun times and storytelling.

Love this idea and now I can use up my scraps of material..thank you so much...
