Freshly baked bread, a cup of tea and the opportunity to reminisce. A wonderful social activity for the elderly.

l am off to source out bread makers and do this with our residents
Ive been doing the bread maker for a while now and they all love fresh bread with jam and butter. Only takes a few minutes to pop on and ready for the afternoon or they have had it for supper. I am yet to try adding some different flavours to the mix, sultanas or cheese and herbs.

Can I get your bread recipe?
Hi Debbie, I don't know if Pauline wrote to you about the bread recipe. I would guess the bread is made with a breadmaker and with the bread recipe accompanying it. From my own experience, it is a very successful activity, the scent of freshly made bread goes far and wide and very often bring clients from their rooms to taste.
I like the name of this much better than, morning or afternoon tea. As residents do sit around with there friends.sounds very homely.
nice idea
What a fantastic idea, I am going to try this one with my Residents.
Fantastic Idea great for the residents who are usually isolated and alos encourages social interaction and reminiscine.
What a lovely idea Pauline. Thanks for sharing this activity!
