Hi Fay, I am sorry it did not work for you. Of course an allergic reaction is possible, but very unlikely. I hosted âMarket Day, in several facilities without incidents. Nevertheless, senior staff have the last word. Golden Carers has many other exciting activities for you to choose from and offer your clients.

I loved this idea but when I took it to my Leisure and Lifestyle Leader it was shot down in flames - reason : food allergies. Even though allergies are documented and advised to the kitchen I was told that exposing our elderly residents to something they may not have tried before could trigger an allergic reaction which was unknown before!

I thought it was a real shame.

Love this idea! , with an idea to incorporate it into our Village (facility) rummage sale next Saturday. Our facility is connected with a Senior Living Village and the plan is for a large rummage sale. I would like to introduce this idea to our Residents and invite our group to set up a table on at the Rummage Sale. Will keep you informed of progress.

Also like the idea to present in the fall when gardens are complete and the winter gourds and squash are ready.
