Match-Up Cards

Match-Up Cards
20 2 440

This activity uses words and pictures to encourage matching skills and support reading ability, which is often retained for a long time in people living with dementia.

The activity can spark conversation and reminiscing while also reintroducing familiar everyday items that clients may not have seen or used recently.

  • Print single sided and laminate.
  • Cut the pictures out along the square lines.
  • Have your client match the pictures to the words.

I have used this activity and it has been very good thank you . I have used it as a reminiscence tool aswell and that was very popular especially with the men as they are quite difficult sometimes to find activities for.

Kath avatar

You are welcome Talita.

Frances avatar

Thank you so much for these wonderful resources. They are exactly what I have been looking for to use with our dementia care recipients and at no cost they are certainly more reasonable than purchasing the Montessori program. Thanks!

You're welcome Frances, our clients do enjoy these activities, though I would not think them better than the program sets as they are only thin paper & laminate.
