I am interested to know where in South Africa furniture is thrown out of windows?
Hi Keryn, in the South of Italy they do too, but people toss only old furniture that they want to get rid of! It's an old tradition, and I'm not sure it still happens!
Hi Keryn, that's an unusual one for sure! Some sources online suggest that in parts of South Africa, like Hillbrow in Johannesburg, people throw old furniture out on New Year's Eve to let go of the old, though it's now discouraged for safety reasons.
