We are now closed for the Christmas break but have enjoyed the recent planned activities, particularly those we adapted from Golden Carers. Much enjoyed is basketball, shooting into different size and numbered cane made baskets as the attached photo shows. It is sometimes necessary to vary the length of the shooting distance to suit the age and ability of our more senior members.

A very big thankyou to the volunteer staff at our Redwood Club in Tawa, Wellington. They are very dedicated and look after our elderly needs extremely well with an interesting programme of games, quizzes exercises and songs . The Golden Carers True or False quiz on Christmas raised a lot of interest as well as humour. I enjoy researching these topical quizzes and games to help our carers with the daily programme and try to research other current matters for the grace to say prior to our midday meal.
