we have every Friday "Coffee Klatch". the residents LOVE it and really look forward to it. we do Dear Abbey, serve a coffee/cappuccino read the horoscopes (their choice not mine) and share good news Friday.
I have just started an activity called Hug a Mug. I set up tabletop games and we serve coffee and hot chocolate. It has been popular and is a great way to have the Secure Unit and the Assisted Living residents together. I've been reading articles on amping up the activity with special mugs and other things to make it more special.
Wow Myra
This sounds like it a great idea
I say whatever works stick to it
