hello, my name is Jess I’m a student in year 12 and I’m doing my hsc design and technology major work I’m making a sensory lap tray for people with dementia and I need just one more thing for my portfolio, what are the rules and regulations related to whs when designing for a dementia clinic or nursing home?

Hi Jess, can you be more specific? If you mean you are designing a leisure/fidgety activity tray for a dementia resident you need to make sure that everything on the tray is safely attached. The resident should not able to pull apart any pieces or hurt himself/herself.

I absolutely love this site. I introduced a lady who just started working in activities to some of your activities, and she’s doing a wonderful job - loving it just as much as I do. Thank you so much, Golden Carers!
