I have recently gained a position as activity coodinator. I have fifty eight residents to cater for. There is a sensitive unit of 32, which has its own worker. Is fifty eght a manageable number?? or Legal?? I am new to the industry and this is my first position...

Hi Sandra, don't panic! You will be fine. it is unlikely that all 58 will come to the recreation area at any given day. If you are lucky 20 will come and that is very manageable. However make it your priority to recruit volunteers. They are invaluable in any long term care facility. All the best of luck!
