Hi all,
I just thought I'd share my ideas for celebrating Indian inderpendance day in our home. We are very fortunate that we have a large number of staff from India here. I asked some of the carers if they would help me create an authentic indian celebration. We are going to get as many staff as possible to dress in traditional indian clothes, a group Indian carers have offered to make lots of foods to try and teach us traditional dances, we will dress the room in indian travel pictures and flags. Everyone is very excited about it already which is lovely.
We did a similar Scottish day as we have a number of Scottish resisdents and staff and that was a huge hit.
