Hi all,

I’m desperately trying to think of fundraising ideas. I am trying to get together a hamper and will sell a square up to 50 for £2 and pick out the winner.

Do any of you have any other ideas during this weird time?

Any ideas on things I could make and sell?

Thanks in advance

Hi Sarah, you could ask volunteers to bake cakes in-house for sale. Then ask permission in local school sports events to sell them, for instance. You could also invite staff, residents’ relatives, and friends for a Pancake Breakfast or a Hamburger Lunch for a set price. You could ask your Chef to save the seeds of a pumpkin or butternut squash; then wash, dry, and count them and put them in an attractive jar on display., For small donation residents, staff and visitors can try to guess how many seeds are there; the winner is rewarded with a token prize (according to the yield of the jar - if $20 a small box of chocolate is adequate). Another idea with food is to invite people for a soup night. Choose a popular soup like Chicken, or Minestrone Soups, served with crusty garlic bread.

Hi ladies, these are all lovely ideas but can’t be done at the minute with Covid.

Do you have any ideas on things I could make and sell. I could use social media to help me with the selling as could put on Facebook etc and get others to share x

Are you making these yourself or are the residents going to help you??

What kind of a budget do you have??

How crafty are you??

Are you open to buying things at Oriental Trading or something similar and then reselling them??

They have some great sales

Let me know

On year we had a book and bake sale in May in our parking lot

I asked my friends and family to donate books they did not want any longer and put it out on facebook. We had at least a thousand donated. Friends and family of residents donated baked goods and we advertised to the public.

We made about $600 that day and with the leftover books i put them in boxes of related topics or genres and sold them online per box

Residents helped sell at the tables and enjoyed all the visitors. Make sure you have enough volunteers to help lift boxes of books.

Also, had a friend donate hot dogs and bbq'd them and sold water and pop

Fantastic day overall

I am the Lifestyle Coordinator at Stockton Moran, and am sharing with you are residents artwork price. I traced around our residents hands, and asked them to decorate them to represent who they are. We called our artwork Celebrating unity and diversity in 2026. I hope you like it.
