I have recently commenced work as a full-time activities coordinator and am wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions of how they organize their days time wise. Like how many hours do most coordinator allow for group activities, exercise, one on one and what kind of time frame do they have for planning and reports and how often do you plan bus outings.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Jennifer, I work 25 hours a week in a dementia unit and there is never enough time in the day.I spend about .5hrs a day on paper work i.e. notes and planning etc. Dependant on the level you are work 10-15 for exercises, I do seated. then i do quizzes and reminiscing till lunch. Then I have to feed residents and then in the afternoons we do our bigger actives such as house, crafts, van outings. I work form 10:30 till 4, 5 days a week.hope this helps

Dear Larissa, Thank you very much for your reply. I needed to hear what others are doing to see if I am on the right track, as I never seem to have an enough hours in the day too.
