I work in a large facility spread over 4 floors and our main challenge is spending time getting residents to activities. I'm interested to hear what others do to gather people in a timely way.

Hi Andrea, I wish I had a simple answer for you. I had the same problem when I worked by myself on weekends. My dilemma was that while I was bringing clients to the activities area I was leaving a bunch of clients sitting alone in the recreation area. We all know we shouldn’t leave a group of elders unsupervised. I took my concern to the management and the nurses started bringing them or watching the clients while I did it. It is very difficult without help from the nurses or volunteers especially in a facility with four floors. My suggestion is for you to take your concern to the nurses meeting and appeal for help. Best wishes.
