We used glitter to either highlight the petals or the background and 3 beads as the stamens. A ribbon corresponding to the colour of the felt was threaded through for hanging on the tree and a tag wishing the recipient a 'Merry Christmas from the residents of the facility was attached to the ribbon. The residents gave their creations to family and staff as their gift for Christmas. Each year the residents I work with make a different craft for this purpose. This not only gives their families a hand made memento but also a collection of their crafts over the years, as well as providing the many benefits to the residents, particularly that of self achievement.
My low care residents enjoyed making these. They look absolutely wonderful on the residents tables. I used a hot glue gun to attach gold stamens in the middle.
One of my residents suggested we should use cardboard to glue under the main petals to make the decoration more solid.
