I think you are getting confused in part 3: 'Wrap floss around doily and cardboard and tie a knot.'.
You don't have to weave the floss for hanging, instead you can just take a ribbon and glue it somewhere in the cardboard-doily for hanging later.
The instructions are just an idea; sometimes our colleagues find a more practical way of doing things. I hope this helps you.
I haave this activity programmed for November, I am struggling to make the doily pom pom as an example. Can you please explain in a little more detail where to weave the floss around the doily? I think that is where I am going wrong. Wendy
