The Wizard of OZ: The Pantomime

The Wizard of Oz: Christmas Pantomime is a three-act pantomime written entirely in rhyme to entertain your residents and guests at Christmas.

This is a playful festive twist on the much-loved story of The Wizard of Oz, filled with humour, silly surprises, colourful characters, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

The tale follows Dorothy and Toto as they travel along the Yellow Brick Road, meeting the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion on their way to the mysterious Wizard of Oz. But with a Wicked Witch determined to cancel Christmas, they’ll need brains, heart, courage - and a little festive magic - to save the day!

It should run for approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on the cast. Please ask actors to speak in loud, clear voices and to use a microphone whenever possible.

Audience participation is welcome but light - mostly through clapping, laughing, a little booing of the Wicked Witch, and joining in the finale.
