Good morning! Something to think about for the upcoming Holiday Season. We have a huge gratitude tree out into the dining room for everyone to view. We have residents make a leaf of what they are thankful for. We have a gorgeous tree full of wonderful messages to other residents, family members, and staff. It is beautiful. An other thing we do. We do a Secret Santa at Christmas! We thought we would have about 5 ladies participate but ended with 28! We dressed as elves as we took the exchanged the secret gifts!! The residents just beamed with the joy of giving and receiving! We had a reveal Secret Santa luncheon, complete with Santa and his elves!! It really brought the spirit of giving to the community and provided a "family" atmosphere to the residents! We can't wait to do it again. Some of our guidelines: a questionaire to be completed. $ limit
I love these ideas because they bring the whole community together! Thank you for sharing, Fran! You've got me excited for the upcoming holiday season, too!
