Read to the residents the meaning and reason we celebrate Australia Day. Then ask the residents to draw items that are Australian and are showcased in the celelbrations held around the country. This could be anything from the Aust. flag, kangaroo, fireworks, sailing ships of the first fleet ect.
Good luck with yoyr activity, this is great for cognitive exercises for residents.
You could finsih off the day with cooking a damper and or a pavolova
