Hi Donna,an article on Palliative Care will feature in the September newsletter. Thank you for you feedback. Regarding the ratio for the number of supervisors in community outing; I don't know if there is a standard ratio. I thought that it was left to each Nursing Home and how they interpret 'Duty of Care'. I can tell you that in my last job (High Care Nursing Home) we use to take maximum 7 people, of which 5 were ambulant or walkers and two wheelchair. There were 2 staff and one volunteer always.
