Indoor walking track.... Hi, I am looking to design an indoor walking track for the residents, I have some ideas but was wondering if anyone has one in place and how is it working out? Many thanks, Caz
I have one, measured the corridors and put up signs to mark start, finish and 15 meter markers, one corridor is 30 meters and the other is 45 meters. I put up signs stating how many laps of each track to be equivalent to walking to the next major town and created a lap record sheet for residents. It has been effective for the more ambulant and competitive residents to see how many laps they can do. Also measured and marked the outdoor circular path for fine days.
I have started a walking group 2x a week. We have a small community and are keeping it indoors while it is cold outside. I was thinking of posting signs on the walls, possible questions.. like a walk and talk.. any ideas?
I just recently joined this site also and let me tell you it is WONDERFUL!!!! I am an activity director at a senior center and not only do our older seniors enjoy it but we also have a group respite program geared towards participants with dementia and Alzheimer's, that respond really well to the trivia/quizzes that the website offers. I am so thankful to have this site as a resource to assist with enhancing their quality of life!
