I bought some fittings to make some tiered plates. I've tried drilling through one plate and it snapped...has anyone made their own?

you will need a diamond tip drill bit. Usually about $20.00. Drill slow ! Adding a little cool water over the plate as you drill will help. Alternatively take your plates to a tile shop, smile and plead ignorance. The nice tile man may like to show you how clever he is and do it for you :)
Also a bit of masking tape over where you need the hole drilled. I took something similar to a glass place- cost $4 a hole, but that was a while ago now.
A colleague referred this resource to assist in implementing our activities program many years ago. I felt, I had struck 'gold.' It has been immeasurable in assisting to provide new material and ideas to stimulate our clients. I will be a member for my working life. Thank you!
