If possible use a microphone so everybody can be amused when participants get tangled up in the words.
A friend suggested to me that an old-fashioned pastime called "Tongue Twisters" might be of interest to carers who are looking for a short time activity which would be suited to people of all ages and interests.

Participants are given a Tongue Twister and a set time to repeat it as many times as possible without making a mistake! Use a short phrase to start with and ask all participants to try the same phrase (for fairness).
