Hi, I would like to organise a wine and cheese tasting event for our residents, but would like some input/suggestions from anyone who has held one. These would be low and high care residents. Thanks, Janida
Hi Heather, Consider reading some poetry to your residents. Structured rhyming poems I've found best. Not too long like some of Henry Lawson ballads - otherwise they lose the gist. Have you got a school study book of poetry? They have a bit of everything in them. Sometimes I leave off the last word to see if they can guess what rhymes.
We are going to make Christmas baubles personalised with resident's name to hang on Christmas tree, then give to them afterwards. Buy plastic baubles, and using fine paintbrush and diluted craft glue, write their name then roll in very fine glitter. Add a bow. With 105 residents we better start soon! Janida
I cannot believe it has been a full year since I started using Golden Carers. I remember going back and forth mentally if I wanted to try something new or keep on paying for an older resource that we didn't use often and was much more expensive for the entire year. I'm so glad I chose to make the switch and now here I am renewing my membership for the 2nd year. This site is great! Keep up the good work
