I would also be interested in ideas! This is not so much of an activity (not sure if you already do it), we have the local childcare come to visit our residents fortnightly, with 5-6 children aged approximately 3years old. Our residents absolutely love it! They enjoy throwing a ball back and forth, watching them play and looking at things the children may have bought in (e.g. colouring). We also have a volunteer bring in her dog, the residents thoroughly enjoy this, especially our residents with dementia and verbal communication difficulties as they can use their body language and pat the dog to interact and form a connection.
An amazing resource for anyone looking for ways to enrich the lives of the elderly. You provide an invaluable resource for anyone caring for the elderly, and I have appreciated every moment of our association.
