12 Ways to Appreciate Volunteers

We have an annual luncheon with beautiful placemats, centerpieces and table setting. We have piano music playing for 30 minutes while the volunteers are arriving and having hors d'oeuvres. Then while they eat lunch & dessert we have our board president thank them, our executive director say a few words and the Life Enrichment Director talks about all the different work volunteers have done and our goals for volunteers for the following year. Poems are sometimes read. This year we will do a slide show of our volunteers in action. Each leaves with a small gift of appreciation.
