A realistic baby, cat, or dog. Those are calming items. If I have a resident exhibiting anxiety or obstructive behaviors, I bring them my new "grandchild" and ask them to hold the baby while I take a potty break. LIVE IN THEIR MOMENT.
Dominoes are a huge favorite as well & I remove all of the command cards from a desk or 2 of UNO and have them play by color or number matching. They can also use it as a sorting activity.
