I design the calendar on a monthly basis. My clients have different levels of dementia; the activities must be simple, short and purpose driven. The residents enjoy crafts such as painting sculptures, eggs and seeing Easter related. Mother’s Day is huge therefore I am thinking spa day, Photo Booth, gift baskets etc.. hope this helps
Hi, my name is Nicole I am the activity coordinator for a memory care facility. The residents have different levels of dementia which range from early to late stage. The activity calendar is a tool that is used to keep loved ones apprised of how a resident spends their day. Today a family member expressed displeasure that a manicure did not happen. Do you have suggestions how I can plan and follow through on my own for these approx 65 residents. Thank you
So glad I found you, your site is such a blessing to me 😊. I have been a PCA for 17 yrs. I am in charge of making up the monthly calendar and coming up with new ideas. It was starting to be a real challenge. I encourage all my residents to join in daily but they need new things offered to hold their interest. So glad I took a chance and signed up with you!!! You're making my job a lot easier. Thank you and keep up the great work !! It's so appreciated.
