I printed off the set of months in the Golden Carers Calendar for our volunteer staff at The Redwood Club here in Tawa, Wellington and they were so delighted to receive it. They are thrilled with the extensive range of material available to me for use at the Club and say what a wonderful site it is. We are so lucky to have been able to access it. Seaside photography

We took a small group of residents living with Dementia to the seaside and gave them disposable cameras and asked them to take pictures of things that make the seaside special. We got them developed and we often look at them and discuss the day out.

Love all the great ideas. Love Golden Carers. I have used so many of your ideas since I started and all with great feedback with staff who like to join in too. What a difference I have seen in the residents, more joining in because of giving them time to express what they like to do and always offering for them to join in, whatever the activity. Having so much to offer but not overwhelming them, just a little at a time and someone will show their enthusiasm to give it a try. Thank you Golden Carers.
