I am organising a Hollywood themed fine dining evening in August. Can you give me some suggestions as this is my first one. I am thinking Red carpet, dress as your favourite classic movie star. Any comments welcome.

Hi Christine, what a good idea; a Hollywood Party! Decoration of the place is very important; large stars in silver and gold to hang on walls or from the ceiling. I would stick to finger foods like popcorn, sweets (consult clinical staff) mini pizzas, and any other popular finger food in your country. Buy or ask someone to make a Hollywood cake with three layers and decorated with stars. For activities, you could plan interviews on your red carpet with 3 or 4 people. Questions for the interview should be all related to movies: The best movie you have seen, the worst, the funniest, your favourite male/female star. Hold an awards show with the best dressed, the best jewelry, the best hat. Good luck!

You should make or buy decorations that remind people of Hollywood you could ask your residents for what they think
You can use some ideas from these articles on golden Carers also
https://www.goldencarers.com/search/#stq=Hollywood+&stp=1
Ask the residents what they want served
you can serve real or fake champagne
Those articles will also give you some trivia information that you can use and you could make some of the Hollywood actors and actresses larger and post them on the walls

Thanks, some great ideas. Love the stars from ceiling and interviews on the red carpet.
