Hi, Can any one who is using a WII for activities let me know what they think of their residents using it. Iam thinking of purchasing one from Ebay and would like to know if there are any quizzes or mental stimulation games that are worth considering.I have looked at WII sports and this would be ok.
thank you for help Debbie Chandler

Go for it - bowls is great and golf also men that were farmers like the shooting /target game - not sure on the quiz games as l hven't seen many all the best
Hi Debbie, We brought 2 wii for our nurseing home they were just not interested in useing them we sold them both. If somone has one they don't mine you useing it to see what responce to get before buying one Trisha
We also use a Wii weekly in our low-care wing. A few residents play and enjoy 10 pin bowling, and a few like to watch. Maybe try a video hire shop or game retailer locally about hiring one for a few weeks before deciding?
Our facility has used the WII but we find the residents really struggle to use it, they just don't have the ability to operate the controls. We are considering getting an XBox kinect as they can use their whole body to participate.
Thank you very much to Golden Carers for creating such an informative website. You have assisted me and my colleagues in developing a fun and engaging activities programme that is meaningful and interesting for our Bristol Care Homes residents. You are also our plan B in the event that plan A does not go as planned. We strongly advise all activity workers to join you.
