I meed help I have two male residents in a Dementia Unit that hate each on sight and every afternoon at the same time they start fighting with each other does anyone have any ideas to try and distract them everything I have tried is not working.

Hi Pauline, this is a really challenging situation. In this case it would be necessary to have more than one recreation area; a veranda for instance where the other party could not access. Another diversionary tactic would be to take one party for a walk outdoors; a volunteer would come handy in this case.
