Hi
Once again the AFL Grand Final is looming - and I get to organise the special happy hour on the Friday before. I am no AFL fan, so hoping someone might have some ideas on what we can do to make this an exciting event! I already get the staff to come in their teams colours, have a ball through the hole throwing comp, and quiz.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

You could have an "identify that team" and just show the team colours. If you have a foam ball you could have a mark of the day comp! Just throw into the crowd and see if someone can catch it. You could do all the food for the afternoon tea in the grand final team colours.

I would suggest that you decorate the area with streamers and any posters. lombards has a football kit that has lots of bits and pieces to help decorate the areas and then you can keep the kit as a resource for years to come. you could also have a guessing comp. on who will win the brownlow medal or which team kicks the first goal, afternoon tea could be party pies and sausage rolls, dvds of past grand finals may help to set the scene (these maybe available from a library)
