In the High Care section of my Nursing Home we have a gentleman who is mid 60s and incredibly OCD. Quite intelligent but a terrible Cleptomaniac. Eats or talks about eating all the time. Load voice and other residents get irritated a lot. Does anyone else have residents similar to this and have any good ideas?
If he is able to give him some magazines to cut recipes out of and make a recipe scrap book. Get him to research history of particular food, eg Apples and then have a Apple day, cooking apple cakes, or muffins, pikelets with strewed apple in, apple juice, old apple box label and quiz. it would give him a purpose if he is able to focus.
I work in a 42 bed facility and for some time wanting to change the look of the notice board any ideas to brighten the notice board where we would put flyers etc.
The activities on this site are truly amazing. It is great as well that you have the option to make your own activities and share these with others. This website has been tremendously helpful. Our residents especially love the bingo's and hangman. It has also allowed us to complete activities that we may not have thought about before. Thank you so much love this website!
