Ribbon surrounding Globe

Also, get an actual globe and spin it and look about facts on each country. Then YouTube the country's landmarks. Name its capital, language, money, population and exports. Or buy inflatable globes and toss around and ask residents to pick a country. Put up a world map so residents can see where the country this. Ask staff to share where they are from and tell residents a little about their country and its people. Promotes diversity, inclusion and national pride!

Feedback

For World Radio Day on Feb 13, Sydney recreational staff can arrange a visit to the Radio Museum in Kurrajong. Very interesting for radio buffs.

You could also try the Mirrabooka Singers. Call Doreen on 98721030. Meera Belle is fantastic and does a beautiful Karen Carpenter tribute concert and has performed for our Christmas parties. Her number is 0406512162.

Hi Kim, put this request for entertainers in your facility newsletter. You may be surprised at what friends and family are prepared to do. I have a 30 -piece band that comes in twice a year. Also ask if anyone has special collections which they would be happy to show off. I have a gentleman who collects telephones and he has a wonderful array. His wife collects perfume bottles and has done a lovely Mother's Day reminisce program with our residents. Your local social clubs including Lions and Rotary may also have musicians in their midst. Good luck!

Try a New Brew

Also good to mention the origins of tea, benefits of drinking it. Ask family members to help with this activity and bring in small teapots.
