Noughts & Crosses This is such a great game its quick, fun, using fine motor skills, mental stimulation, can be used one on one or as I have made 3 we can have 6 residents socially interacting with each other.
This is one of many free activities.
Golden Carers has 1000s of activities and resources for senior care.

You will need two cake boards about 40 x 40cm.

Cut 9 circles out of one board then glue two boards together.

Then use the cut-out circles as the game pieces.

I used dolly pegs cut them down to make a peg. Glue onto the cutout circles (it makes it easier to pick up pieces)

Then paint, brighter colours could be better we just used what paint we had.We used outdoor paint so we could wipe after use.

Our local mens shed helped with cutting  & gluing bases, then our maintenance boys glued pegs on & painted.

This activity cost me about $2.50 each game as I was given the cake boards & only had to buy the dolly pegs. Many hours of fun for a sturdy game.
