Hi.
We are a team which works in a UK hosptial. Our a team consists of healthcare assistants who care for and support patients, on a 1:1 basis, whom present with behaviours which challenge.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest some useful activities for dementia patients, or those suffering with a delirium, within a hospital environment?

Our team are currently unable to provide group activities due to the various locations of our patients. Any activities we provide would be confided to the hospital ward.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Hi, I would suggest Montessori-based activities like, ‘Pairing’, ‘Colour Sorting’, ‘Matching Shapes’, and Treasure Hunt’. Also try arranging flowers, polishing metal, size discrimination. Links below.
