Using a world globe and your ipad you can transport someone to another Country, talk about their culture, food, economy, music, lifestyle, dress, traditions, famous places, famous people, etc. It really is endless what you can discuss in these sessions.

We have laptop and ipad, and a projector with attachment for both.

I also have access to a globe, and hadn't thought to use this way.
