I have old records that I have drilled a hole in the top and attached a chain to hang from the ceiling, attached (using velcro dots) to the centre of these are Aussie pictures downloaded from the internet and laminated.

I hung the records up for Christmas and plan to leave up for a while and just keep changing the pictures on them depending on the occasions.

I have also covered the wall with pictures (from the computer) of Aussie icons...too many to name here...eg Vegemite, cricket, Dame Edna, kangaroo, Uluru.
Another idea I came up with was to choose a chorus of a song...in my case "Home Among the Gumtrees" and have put the words and pictures on the wall too...by Australia Day they'll all know the song...have fun

well done, i have also decorated with flags etc, we had the local paper arrive for photos as a family member told them they needed to have a look at how wonderful our facility looked all decked out in australia memorabilia, residents and staff very proud of their effort, made it all worthwhile
